Music @ The Mill this September

September sees not one but two live music nights at The Mill, giving locals the chance to see some great performers live in town!

On Thursday 7 September, The Mill plays host to Luke Tuchscherer, a Bedford based singer-songwriter. Previously the drummer / singer with the ‘Whybirds’ he released his first solo CD in 2014 to much acclaim, featuring on many ‘Best of 2014’ Americana lists. He is currently signed to Clubhouse Records and was very prominent recently at the ‘Tingestock’ event in Tingewick. A second solo album ‘Always Be True’ followed in June this year prompting more great reviews.

And, on Thursday 14 September, Jenkinson’s Folly brings a fine Scottish performer, Ian Bruce, to The Mill. With a sublime voice, exquisite guitar and a great song smith, Ian plays traditional expressive folk songs with contemporary influences. He has his audiences singing, laughing and crying! Ian is being supported by Roddy Clenaghan and Andy Fenton, introduced by Towcester folk duo, Jenkinson’s Folly.

As both music nights are on a Thursday, then it’s the ideal opportunity to combine your evening of music and beer with some fresh tex mex food – Baja Cantina is at Towcester Mill Brewery every Thursday from 6pm offering tacos, nachos and quesadillas!

Doors to the Malt Room bar will open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm. All tickets are priced at £12 (incl booking fee) and can be bought via TicketSource.
