It’s National Cask Ale Week!

21 September 2017

Come and celebrate Cask Ale Week 2017 by popping down to Towcester Mill Brewery and trying out an ale you may not have tried before!

From Thursday 21 September 2017 to Sunday 1 October, Cask Ale Week is all about celebrating Britain’s national drink and getting more people to drink real ale… and there’s plenty going on at the Brewery to celebrate such an event.

September is a key time in the brewing calendar because this is when British hops are harvested. For us, this is a great opportunity to show our bulldog spirit during Cask Ale Week by brewing our seasonal Fresh Hop beer, made with luscious and fragrant Hereford grown hops. Fresh Hop, along with 100% English malted barley, is a perfectly balanced session pale golden 3.7% ale now available in our tap room. So why not puff out your chest, don your union jack waistcoat and join us for ‘beerjolais’ at the bar during Cask Ale Week?

We also have a brewery tour running next Tuesday @ 7pm. Come and enjoy this timely tour, made even more significant because it’s Cask Ale Week. A great opportunity to drink real ale and learn about how we brew the perfect pint in our five brewers barrel brew plant. See what goes on behind the scenes at Towcester’s only micro-brewery at just £10 per person including a free pint or three thirds of a pint.

And, towards the end of next week, treat yourself to a night out at our first live comedy night of the autumn on Thursday 28 Sept. Raise a glass of real ale to Andy Askins from The John Bishop Show who is headlining the night – there’ll be plenty of real ale on tap that night for a evening packed full of laughter!

National Cask Ale Week aims to: encourage non-real ale drinkers to try real ale for the first time; encourage experienced real ale drinkers to visit real ale pubs throughout the week; encourage non-real ale pubs to stock real ale for the first time and encourage pubs to organise a number of real ale events.
